Who is the data controller?

What personal data does this site collect?

None. This site has no contact form, membership, comment field or any other data entry field. It uses no visitor tracking, advertising pixels, analytics tools or cookies, and stores nothing in your browser. The site does not load any content, such as fonts, maps or videos, from third-party servers. The map link opens in a separate tab only when you click it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on the infrastructure of Vercel Inc., which is headquartered in the USA. As with any web server, the hosting provider may keep access logs such as IP address, browser information and time of visit to keep the site secure and running; these logs may be processed on servers abroad. The legal basis is the data controller's legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Article 5(2)(f) of the Law). The physician does not view these logs or use them for marketing. Case images are published only for educational purposes and in anonymised form: they cannot be linked to any person, and their metadata is removed before publication. The patient's written consent is also obtained.

What happens when I book by phone?

The appointment line (444 55 44) is the call centre of Acıbadem Healthcare Group. Information you share in that call is processed under Acıbadem's own privacy notice; no information is transferred through this site. Health data is a special category of personal data under Article 6 of Law No. 6698. During examination and treatment it is processed for the provision of medical diagnosis, treatment and care by a physician bound by professional confidentiality (Article 6(3)(e)), and shared only to the extent treatment requires and where the law requires it.

Your rights under KVKK

Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698 you have the right, regarding your personal data, to learn whether it is processed; to request information if it is; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to ask for correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate; to ask for deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7; to ask that correction and deletion be notified to the third parties to whom it was transferred; to object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage because it was processed unlawfully.

No:56, 35630 Çiğli / İzmir. The editor's e-mail address is for questions about the site and does not replace a formal application under the Communiqué. Your application should include your full name, Turkish ID number (for foreign nationals, nationality and passport number), an address for correspondence, your e-mail address or phone number if you have one, and the subject of your request. Under Article 13 of the Law, applications are concluded within 30 days at the latest; if you find the answer insufficient, you can file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board.
